An updated K3 series launched in the UK in 1977, which lost the trumpet-style pipes for a set of four megaphone style exhausts and was fitted with a bigger tank and lower bars. Honda launched a revamped CB550F2 at the same time as the K3 with a revised paint job and detail changes.

TERRY BUTLER. 2021-10-18 -. I bought this bike from Charlie at Oxford Classic Honda three years ago to complete my set of early 1970s 250s; I already had a Yamaha YDS7, Suzuki GT250 and Kawasaki S1A. The K3 was okay but in need of a good service, something that it hadn't seen in years I reckon. Once I'd got it running nicely I rode it.
